Jacqueline Sutherland
Jacqueline is a qualified lawyer and a Nationally Accredited Mediator. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served as a director on a number of local boards and organisations.
Jacqueline has developed a practice as a trainer, mediator and workplace investigator and has undertaken work for a number of large local, national and State organisations. This work has included:
- Mediating workplace disputes.
- Investigating and reporting on allegations of workplace bullying and sexual harassment.
- Training employees and managers on issues relating to workplace employee relationships.
- Facilitating discussions in disputes between organisations and third parties.
She has undertaken work for government departments, local hospital boards, large manufacturing and processing plants, local councils, not-for-profit organisations, charities, nursing homes, professional practises, agri-business enterprises, small firms and individuals. Jacqueline was jointly involved in a presentation to the Victorian Bar Council and Victorian barristers on changes to bullying legislation affecting the legal profession. She also jointly present a paper on Preventative Measures against Bullying in the Hospital Sector at the 2016 National Bullying Conference on the Gold Coast.
Jacqueline also undertakes general commercial and family law mediation She is on government panels for mediating disputes in franchising, horticulture and family law.
Alan Blackman
Alan is a barrister. He has wide-ranging experience in state and federal litigation. He has been an accredited mediator with the Victorian Bar Council for more than 20 years and is currently on the Panel of Mediators for the Small Business Commissioner of NSW. He was previously a mediator on the Panel of Mediators appointed by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and was a Local Court Arbitrator in NSW for a number of years. He was a non-executive director of a publicly listed company for 25 years.
